Custom Index Tabs for Legal Exhibits and Case Binders

Law firms are among the heaviest users of custom index tabs — exhibit binders, deposition sets, closing binders, and case files all rely on clear, durable dividers that hold up in court and in the file room.

Here's how to spec tabs that work for legal use.

Numbered and lettered exhibit tabs

Exhibit sets are usually numbered (1, 2, 3…) or lettered (A, B, C…). With custom printing you simply type the exact label for each tab in the online designer and we print them in order — no pre-printed kit that forces you to skip or reorder.

Sequential numbers, mixed numbering, and custom section titles are all standard.

Built to survive handling

Case binders get pulled, copied, and passed around. For paper exhibit tabs, add Mylar edge reinforcement so the binding holes don't tear. For sets that travel or get years of use, poly tabs are nearly indestructible.

Two-sided printing means each tab reads correctly from either direction — useful in thick exhibit binders.

Turnaround when a deadline is looming

Standard production for paper tab orders is about 5 business days from proof approval, and you'll always see a PDF proof before anything prints. If a filing date is tight, contact us before ordering — rush production is available on many orders.
