A trial binder, or trial notebook, is the binder a lawyer or paralegal carries into the courtroom with everything needed to try the case, divided by tabs in the order the trial runs: the case summary, pleadings, motions and orders, jury selection, opening, witnesses, exhibits, jury instructions, closing and the law. Exhibits usually go in a separate binder with one numbered or lettered tab per exhibit.
How do you create a trial binder?
