How do I add an exhibit sticker to a PDF?
Use Tabzoola's free PDF exhibit stamp on this page: choose your PDF exhibits, pick whose exhibits they are (Plaintiff's, Defendant's, Joint and so on), and press Stamp. Each file gets a sticker on its first page, numbered in file-name order: Exhibit 1, 2, 3, or A, B, C, with an optional prefix such as PX-. Download each exhibit as its own PDF, or combine them into one.
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. Tabzoola's exhibit stamp runs entirely in your browser. The files never leave your computer, and nothing is sent to Tabzoola or anyone else.
Will the court accept an electronically stamped exhibit?
Many courts accept exhibits with an electronic exhibit sticker, but e-filing rules differ: some courts or judges set where the sticker goes, require an exhibit cover sheet instead, or ask that exhibits be filed unaltered. Check your court's e-filing rules and the judge's standing order, and keep an unstamped copy of every original.
What color should exhibit stickers be?
A common practice is yellow for the plaintiff's exhibits and blue for the defendant's, which is why the tool picks those colors by default. Follow your court's or firm's practice if it differs; the color is a setting.
Where does the sticker go on the page?
Bottom right of the first page by default, where exhibit stickers usually sit, about 0.4 inch in from the edges. Bottom center and top right are options for pages where the bottom right has text. Rotated pages are handled so the sticker reads upright.
What if a PDF will not stamp?
Password-protected PDFs cannot be changed; remove the password and try again. Scanned PDFs work normally, because the sticker is drawn on top of the page.
