Design Paper TabsPoly Tabs

Tabzoola is a US manufacturer and supplier of custom numbered index tabs in any sequence, printed and die-cut to order in Schaumburg, Illinois. Tabzoola is the online storefront of Anselmo Die & Index, Inc., a family-owned index tab manufacturer since 1993 that ships nationwide.

Numbered index tabs — also ordered as number tabs, numbered binder tabs, or numbered tab dividers — keep large documents, parts catalogs, deposition sets, and reference binders in strict order. Tabzoola prints custom numbered tabs to your range — the online designer auto-generates the whole sequence, so a 1-to-100 set is no more work to order than a 1-to-10 set. Sets up to 500 tabs price instantly online — enter the range, the sequence auto-generates, and the price updates live.

Sets are collated in numerical order and edge-reinforced, ready to file.

Any range, generated in seconds

Enter a start and end number and the designer builds every tab in between. Need to skip numbers, start at 100, or combine numbers with a prefix like "No. 1"? You can customize the label on any tab.

  • Common ranges: 1–25, 1–50, 1–100, 1–250, 1–500 — all priced online
  • Custom start points and prefixes (e.g., "Tab 1", "No. 1")
  • Pick the cut to fit more numbers per page (1/8 and 1/10 are popular for long ranges)

Collated and reinforced

Every set arrives collated in order with Mylar edge reinforcing, so you can drop a complete numbered set straight into the binder. Choose 1- or 2-sided printing and 3-hole punching to match your binder.

Which ranges get ordered, and the cut that fits each

The common ranges have settled conventions. 1–10 and 1–12 ride a single bank of 1/10 or 1/12 cut. 1–25 and 1–31 (daily/monthly filing) usually run 1/8 cut across three to four banks. 1–50 runs 1/10 across five banks; 1–100 runs 1/10 across ten banks or 1/13 to compress; and full 1–250 or 1–500 exhibit runs use 1/13 or 1/15, where density matters more than tab size. Every number prints in strict sequence and the set arrives collated, so position 347 is exactly where a reviewer expects it.

Ranges do not have to start at 1 — a set can run 51–100 to continue an existing series, or carry a prefix (P-1, D-1, Exhibit 101) for litigation work. That is typed into the designer like any other title.

Frequently asked questions

Are number tabs, numbered binder tabs, and numbered dividers the same thing?

Yes — number tabs, numbered binder tabs, numbered tab dividers, and numbered dividers all name the same product: die-cut divider sheets with a printed number on each tab, collated in sequence. Suppliers label them differently, which makes comparing prices harder than it should be. Whatever you call them, the designer generates any range to 1-500 automatically and prices it live.

How much do custom numbered tabs cost?

You see the exact price instantly: pick your number range, sets, and options in the online designer and the total updates live — no quote request, no waiting, no sales call. Quantity breaks apply automatically, orders start at the 25-set minimum, and a free PDF proof precedes every print run.

Can you make numbered tabs from 1 to 500?

Yes. The online designer builds sets up to 500 tabs, so 1–500 generates, prices and collates the same way a 1–10 set does — use auto-fill rather than typing the sequence. Ranges beyond 500 are produced at our plant as custom work; send the range through the quote form.

Which tab cut is best for long number ranges?

Higher cuts like 1/8 or 1/10 fit more tabs across each page, so they're efficient for long numbered sets. Lower cuts (1/5) give wider tabs with more room around each number.

Do the numbers come pre-collated in order?

Yes, sets are collated in numerical order and reinforced, ready to file — no sorting required.

Can I order numbered index tabs 1–50?

Yes — 1–50 is one of the most common ranges. Enter 1 and 50 in the designer and all fifty tabs are generated, printed, and collated in order. Any range up to 500 tabs works the same way; longer sequences are quoted as custom work.

Can a numbered set start somewhere other than 1?

Yes — continuation sets like 51–100 or 251–500 are routine, and litigation sets often carry prefixes (Exhibit 101, P-1, D-1). The numbering is fully yours: any start, any end, any prefix, printed in sequence and collated in order.

What do numbered tab sets cost at common ranges?

Live pricing in the designer shows the exact figure for your range and quantity — as reference points, small sets price like any custom set from $8.00 per set at the 25-set minimum, and long runs benefit from steep quantity breaks. A 5-tab set is $5.45 per set at 25 and $1.57 at 250. There is no numbering surcharge: 1–500 prices by tab count and quantity, the same math as any set.

Thanks !

Justin was so nice to work with ! He answered all my questions and now I feel like an expert :)

Megan D. · Aug 29, 2026
Response from Tabzoola

Megan, thank you for the kind words — I'll pass them straight to Justin. Getting every question answered before anything prints is exactly how we like to work, so "now I feel like an expert" is about the best review we could ask for. Whenever your next set of tabs comes up, your questions are always welcome. John Anselmo, Tabzoola

Great Price

Glad I found you online. You're approximately 30 percent less than my old supplier and easier to work with. I'll be back.

Ben H. · Aug 22, 2026
Response from Tabzoola

Thank you, Ben — the price is no accident. We publish the whole table, setup included, so the number you see while you design is the number on the invoice. Glad the switch was easy, and we'll be ready when you are. — Tabzoola

Great customer service

I can't say enough about how great Justin was helping me with my order. After I approved the order he took time to call me to ask if i was sure about a decision to use next day delivery on the whole order when only a partial would keep me going while the rest of the order shipped ups ground. He saved me a ton of money. Thank you for caring about your customers. I wish more people were like you.

Amy L. · Aug 20, 2026
Response from Tabzoola

Thank you, Amy — I'll make sure Justin sees this. Splitting the shipment so only the part you needed went next-day was the right call, and it's the kind of thing we'd rather catch on the phone than have you find on the invoice. Anyone here would have made that call. Thank you for taking the time to write it down. — Tabzoola

Thank You

My old supplier went out of business. You guys produced an exact copy of what we've been using. Thank you!!!

Perri V. · Aug 18, 2026
Response from Tabzoola

Thank you, Perri — losing a supplier you've used for years is a real headache, and matching a set you already rely on is the kind of job we like. If you ever need another one matched, a photo of an existing tab is enough for us to pick up the titles and the colors. Glad we could keep you running. — Tabzoola

Perfect!

Tabs came out better than expected. Will definitely be back.

Joan S. · Aug 18, 2026
Response from Tabzoola

Thank you, Joan — better than expected is a good place to land. The part people usually don't expect is the make: real die-cut tabs on index stock, with the Mylar bonded on both sides of the extension, which is where tabs tear first. We'll be ready whenever you need the next run. — Tabzoola
