What sections go in an estate planning binder?
The common eight, in reading order: Will, Revocable Living Trust, Power of Attorney, Healthcare Directive, Beneficiary Designations, Asset Inventory, Insurance, and Important Contacts. Trust-based plans add Certificate of Trust, Funding Instructions and a tab for Amendments; many firms add HIPAA Authorization, Deeds & Titles, and a Letter of Instruction. The builder above puts whatever you pick in that order.
What tab cut should an estate binder use?
It follows the section count. Six sections fit a 1/3 cut in two banks; seven or eight fit a 1/4 cut in two banks of four, which is the common attorney set; ten to twelve fit a 1/5 or 1/6 cut in two banks. The builder recommends the cut that keeps every tab at least an inch tall so the titles stay readable.
How much does a printed estate planning tab set cost?
The builder prices your exact list from the same engine as checkout: an 8-tab set, collated and 3-hole punched with clear Mylar on every tab, is $8.17 per set at 25 sets ($204.30) and $3.75 per set at 100 sets. Setup is included, the minimum is 25 sets, UPS Ground is free over $75, and a PDF proof comes before anything prints.
Can I add a tab later without reprinting the binder?
Yes. Every design is saved, so an Amendment or First Restatement tab can be ordered later in the next open position, matched to the original set's cut, Mylar color and stock, and dropped into binders already in clients' hands.
Letter or legal size?
Letter (8.5 x 11, finishing 9 x 11) fits the 1 to 2 inch D-ring binders most firms hand over. Choose Legal in the designer only if the documents themselves are legal size; it prices alongside letter on paper stock.
