What happens next
- 1. We read the list. Titles from the email body or the first column of your spreadsheet, the paragraphs of your Word file, or the exhibit stamps in a PDF. The reply shows exactly what was read.
- 2. You get a proof and a price. A PDF proof of every tab, the cut that fits your count, and the price at your quantity or our 25-set minimum, usually within a minute.
- 3. One click to order. The button in the reply opens the designer with all your titles in place. Choose colors, punching and collation, check the proof again, and pay. Nothing prints until you approve the final proof.
The designer has a paste-a-list box and shows the proof as you type.

Questions
What do I send?
The tab titles, one per line, and the number of sets if you know it. Type them straight into the email, or attach the file you already have: an Excel spreadsheet (first column), a Word document, a CSV or text file, or a PDF that is a list or a stamped exhibit set. If you have both, the attachment wins.
What comes back, and how fast?
One email, usually within a minute: a PDF proof showing every tab exactly as it would print, the price at your quantity, the spec we assumed, and a button that opens the tab designer with all your titles already in place. From there you pick colors, punching and collation, see the proof again, and pay. Nothing prints until you approve the final proof.
What if I don't say a quantity?
We price it at 25 sets, our minimum, and say so. Write "50 sets" or "qty 100" anywhere in the email and we price at that instead. The designer lets you change it either way.
What spec is assumed?
Our standard: white 90# index stock, clear Mylar tabs, one-sided printing, Arial 12pt bold, the tab cut that fits your count across the page. The reply lists every assumption. Change any of it in the designer before you order — punching, reinforcing, collation, colors, two-sided printing, heavier stock.
Does a scanned PDF work?
No. A scan has no text layer, so there is nothing to read, and we would rather tell you than guess at your titles. Type the list into the email instead, or use the browser tool at tabzoola.com/toc-to-tabs for a PDF that is a whole document with bookmarks or a contents page.
Is a person involved?
The proof and price are automatic, which is why they are fast. A person is copied on every reply and reads it, so if the list came through wrong or you need something unusual, reply to the email or call (847) 397-1200 and you will get a human.
Can a print shop use this for customer orders?
Yes, and many should. Forward the customer's list, get the proof and price back, mark it up, and order when they approve. The proof carries no price on the page itself, so it can go straight to your customer.
