Exhibit sticker questions
What are exhibit stickers?
Exhibit stickers are small labels placed on each document or object used as evidence, marking it with the party and the exhibit number — for example "Plaintiff's Exhibit 12" — and often a case number, date and witness. Tabzoola's free exhibit sticker maker prints a full sheet of them on standard Avery labels.
What color stickers are used for plaintiff and defendant exhibits?
A common convention is yellow for plaintiff's exhibits and blue for defendant's, but it varies by court, judge and court reporter, and some use white for everything. Follow your court's or reporter's practice. The maker prints black text and a light outline, so print on whichever colored or white label stock your court expects.
Which label sheets does this work with?
Avery 5160 and 8160 (30 per sheet, 1" x 2-5/8"), Avery 5163 and 8163 (10 per sheet, 2" x 4") and Avery 5164 and 8164 (6 per sheet, 3-1/3" x 4"), plus the many store brands made to the same layouts. Print at 100% / Actual Size, and use the optional alignment test page on plain paper first.
What is the difference between deposition and trial exhibit stickers?
Deposition exhibits are usually marked by the court reporter, often numbered in one sequence across the whole case, with the witness name and date. Trial exhibits are typically marked by party — plaintiff's numbers and defendant's numbers or letters — under the judge's pretrial order. Choose "Deposition" or a party in the maker and add the lines you need.
Is anything I type stored?
No. Tabzoola's exhibit sticker maker builds the PDF inside your browser; case numbers, names and exhibit numbers are never sent to Tabzoola or saved.
