Printing your own tab dividers from the 1/8-cut template or your own layout? Upload the file. Someone at the plant that has die-cut tabs since 1993 checks the tab positions, margins, scale and stock, and emails you within one business day: either “it's fine, print it” or exactly what to change. No charge.

Common questions
- What do you check in my file?
- Whether the tab positions match a real die (so the printing lands on the tab, not beside it), whether the titles sit inside the safe area of the tab, whether the page is set to print at 100% scale, and whether the stock you plan to use will feed through the printer you have. If something is off, we say exactly what to change.
- What files can I send?
- PDF, Word, InDesign, Illustrator, Publisher, or a photo of a test print. Up to three files, 6 MB each. A PDF exported from whatever you are working in is the easiest for us to read.
- Does this cost anything?
- No. A person at the plant looks at the file and replies by email, usually within one business day. There is no obligation, and we do not add you to a list.
- Will you try to sell me printed tabs instead?
- Only if the file genuinely will not print well by hand — a cut we cannot draw a template for, titles that will not fit, or a quantity where printing and trimming yourself stops making sense. Then we will say so and quote it, and you decide.
- Which free templates do you publish?
- Every standard cut from 1/3 through 1/10 as print-ready PDFs at the exact positions we cut in production, plus exhibit tabs 1–100 and A–Z. They are on the templates page, free, no signup.
