Bottom tab dividers — some call them hanging tabs. Here's what they are, and when they beat side tabs.
A hanging set runs landscape. The page binds along the top edge — so the tabs hang from the bottom, where they stay visible as you flip.
That's why they're the standard for anything bound at the top: tax return binders — instructions, federal, state — flip charts, calendars, and top-bound reports.
In the online designer, it's one setting: switch Tab Layout to Landscape — Hanging Tabs, and the preview flips with it.
Not sure what to call each tab? Describe the binder — a banking binder, say — and the AI Tab Designer names the whole set.
Same cuts as side tabs — one half through one fifteenth — on an eleven by eight and a half landscape sheet. The tabs hang half an inch below; finished size, eleven by nine.
